Nina's Wedding

This is my beautiful sister-friend, Kristina Michelle. I called her "Hill" for two years while we served missions together in Pusan, Korea.

Yesterday, she married Dan Fife. She was stunningly beautiful.

The reception, at Sundance, was sparkly and lovely.

I am a giant when I stand next to her.

Her bleeding armadillo groom's cake!

Me and my mama, all dressed up.

Katie Bug's Wedding

My cousin Katie married a really great guy.
Their wedding was beautiful.
He's from Gunnison; we all drove down there for a big bbq the night before the big day. Afterward, the bride-to-be and I had a low-key night back at the hotel. The next morning, Katie rolled out of bed, threw on her custom-made dress, and was ready to go (seriously, it took her 10 minutes to wash her face and curl her hair--the girl is a natural, stunning beauty).
They had a beautiful ceremony inside the Manti Temple.
Then we drove up to Nana's house for a party!

Cousins! As the oldest of Nana's 39 grandchildren (oldest and bestest, she calls me), I've been the first to do a lot of things in the family. But Katie was the first grandkid to get hitched. I'm so happy for her, and it was wonderful to be there on her special day! It's crazy that we're all getting to be grown-up and such. I remember when we were tiny kids running around up at the farm, playing house out in the field.

I'm so happy she found him, as well.
A few weeks after the wedding,
we were all chatting at a bbq at my aunt's house.
It was nice to see them just, you know, being all married.
They were so cute
not in a mushy, newly-wed way
in a Hey-we're best friends and
we're so happy with the way this worked out way.
They are just good together.

Nana Banana--isn't she beautiful?

Once in a Blue Moon

On August 31st, my beautiful mama married Jeffrey.

They chose the night of a blue moon because,
she said, every once in a while
you get lucky and get a chance at love.

Amber gave them a guitar engraved with their names and wedding date.

We both have crinkles on the sides of our noses when we smile.

She looked so pretty and happy!

My Grandpa Charlie came! I hadn't seen him in ages.
He has always called me "Sica."

My Aunt Carley surprised Mom and arrived just in time for the ceremony.

Mom's bestie Lynne.

Rachel was the cutest flower girl!

Agh, she's such a spunky little fairy sprite--I love that girl something crazy!

She played with her cousins in the rain, in the woods.
I never saw her put that stick down for a minute.

My brother Cody came, too!

Friends and nice words and toasts and yummy food
plus lots of banjo and guitar blue grassin'...
...it was a fun party.

And my favorite photo:
catching Cody looking out over the crowd.
Johnny Depp from Chocolat, right?

Also! I had my very first public guitar performance, and it was a success! I sang and played the song as my mom walked down the aisle. Add become a country rockstar to the bucket list, please.
